Wilson, of the Tourist Department, nnd Mr. C. W. of the Navy League, are busy arranging details. ■'.Mr. Palmer informed a reporter:yester- ■ day that requests-for information regarclr . ,iing the' New Zealand's itinerary, were still 'coming in from different Dominion ports. Tho information.is not yet available,'but Mr.: Palmer hopes that it will be cabled for .. to-day, so; .that'it may be circulated ■■■■•' at-the beginning of-next'week. ■One of the letters that Mr. Palmer re-: . 'ceived yesterday-camb from a. prominent resident of Picton, who wrote on behalf of a number of others." He sought inforroa\/tion regarding the draught of the battle-i ship, and stated , that Picton residents V wero keenly desirous of securing a visit ; from-tho,New Zealand, as they were of 'opinion that their'harbour,was tlie finest in • the Doiiiinion, and would make an ideal naval base. Yesterday • there was. a; meeting of t'ne Headmasters' Association, and Mr. Palmer . waited upon that. body to ask, for, suggestions, regarding the arrangements to, be ■ made on behalf, of school children in connection with theivisit; of the battlecruiser.
