Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock siaJe, held on Wednesday, as follows:—We offered well over 'four thousand sheep, which met a slightly better market than the previous week, but , business, at auction was not as animated as it might havo been, and a couple of large lines of ewes woro turned out unsold. The/ balance of the yarding was sold -at prices ..slightly in favour of vendors. ' Quotations: Aped ewes, lis.; culls, Bs. 3d.; cull 4 and 6-tooth owes, 93. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on their tipper Otaki sale, as follows: —A fair yarding of sheen was' offered to a limited number of buyers. Good sheep sold at up to lat-o rates, but inferior sorts .were neglocted, and the bulk of thia class of stock failed to find purchasers. Cattle met with a dragging sale, and were difficult to quit. Quotationa:— Sheep: Fat ewes, 143. to 14s. Id.; rams, 10s.; cull ewes, Is. 9d.; lambs, Bs. 2d.; goats, 4s. to Bs. Cattle: Weaners, 20s. to 20s. 6d.; aged cows, 15s. to 365.; store cows, £2 1C«. to 355.; forward cows, £3 14s. to £4 135.: forward heifers, £3 55.; in-calf heifers, £3 10s. to £4; bulls. £3 10s. to £5. 1 BTJHNSIDB MAKICET. (By Telegraph.'—Prose Association.) Dunedin, March 12. There was a largo yarding of fat cuttlo at Burnsido to-day. 183 being penned, consisting principally of cows and heifers. Competition was fairly keen, but prices were 10?. per head lower tlrin those ruling last week. Best bullocks. £13 ss. to £14; good, £10 10s. to £12; medium, £8 to £9; Ijpst cows and heifers, £10 to £11 10s.; good, £8 to £9 55.; ■ medium, £6 15s. to £7 10s. There was a good-sized -yarding of fat sheep. 2706 being penned. The entry included a good pr6porlion of good quality sheep. Freezing buyers had their limits reduced, nud, consequently, competition was almost entirely confinod to butchers. Frioes were about lower than

last week's Tat-es. Best wethers, to 235. 3d.; good, 18s. to 2ls. 6d.; medium, 16a. to 17s. 6d.: extra, heavy ewes, to 245. 9d.: hoavy, 109. 6d. to 225. 6(1.; medium, 12s. to 15s. 1606 fat lambs were penned. The quality penerally was not very pood, and prices ruled much tho same as last week. Best, IBs. to 19s. 6d.; good, 16a. to 17e. 6d.| medium, 12s. 6(1. to 14s.
