Tlie' Allies liavo accepted the proposals for mediation, on condition that Turkey surrenders Adrianople, Scutari, and the Aegean Islands, and pays an indemnity. (Eec. March 14, 0.15 a.m.) Sofia, March 14. The Allies' reply to the Powers has been postponed until Friday, owing to certain drafting modifications. A deputation of six hundred Bulgarians from Silistria and Balchich has urged the Government not: to code those regions to Rumania. . .' (Eec. March 14, 0.30- a.m.) London, March 13. The Powers lave informed, tho Allies that whether Scutari ,falls or not its future must remain, in the hands of the Powers. 1 AUSTRIAN WAR (Rec. March 14, 0.15 a.m.) Vienna, March 13. There is anxiety respecting the result of the forthcoming big attack on Scutari. Several newspapers threaten war if ever Scutari is added to Montfenegro. The popular demand-is increasing for the creation of a strong Albania as a counterpoise to Servia. Official journals are jubilant over the improved Austro-Russian relations, but the other Powers, do not appear to Te-_ gard the .communiques as a sign of a sincere 'understanding. ADRIANOPLE ON THE EVE OF ' FALLING. Constantinople, March 12. , Tlie 'Allies' insistence on an indemnity is expected to prolong the war.
The fall of Yanina and Shnkri Pasha's dispatch that he ;can only hold' Adrianople for a week have caused a feeling ,of marked pessimism. Shukri Pasha suggests an immediate attempt to relieve Adnanople from Chatalja, so as to enable the garrison to make a sortie. AVIATOR'S VALUABLE AID. t (Rec. March 14, 0.15 a.m.) Paris, March 13. Advices state that M. Sacoff, a Russian aviator, did itaportant work in the taking of Yanina. He flew over the forts, carrying six bombs. The forts fired shrapnel, and two bullets struck the biplane. One also pierced the petrol tank. •The aviator also launched sis bombs over the fort at Bizani, causing considerable damage. Tho troops were thrown into a panic. DURAZZO BOMBARDED. (Rec. MaroJi 14, 9.30 a.m.) Belgrade, March 13. The Turkish cruiser Hamidieh ha? bombarded the Albanian port of Durazzo on -.-the--Adriatic. The extent 6f:the:damage. is riot known. The vessel subsequently bombarded San Giovanni and then disappeared in the direction of. Italy. - • There is- alarm as several transports with Servian troops aboard are on tiie Adriatic. ■ DESPERATE FIGHTING REPORTED. London, March 12. ""The"Pall Mall Gazette" states that a private code message from Sofia has been received in London. It states that after desperate fighting the Bulgarians captured Fort Heitantarla, making prisoners of four hundred Turks. The Bulgarians expect to enter Adrianople immediately. FIGHTING AT .BTJLAIR. (Rec. March 14, 0.15 a.m.) Constantinople, March 13. • Serious fighting is reported at' Bulair sinoa yesterday. The Turkisli fleet is cooperating in resisting the Bulgarian advance towards the Dardanelles.
