CONFLICTING DECLARATIONS, • , (Rec. March 12, 11.20 p.m.) ' , ■ Paris, March .12. ■ The "Temps;" in commenting on the "Cologne Gazette's" article, invites the German press to reconcile the conflicting declarations that the new German armaments are due to the new situation in the Balkans and to the desire of France for Tevenge. \ The "Tqmps" adds: "It is the old story of the wolf and the lamb, with the difference that now the lamb is in no feiar of being^devoured. \An arrogant Germany (is no longer confronted by an isoV lated Fraaoe;and an isolated Russia: they are' now perfectly allied. The measures taken] by France are no threat, and if there is a'threat it has been made by ■Germany."' FRANCE NOT THE DANGER ZONE. (Red. March 12,.9.5 p.m.) 'v ; Berlin, March 12. . The "Tageblatt" disagrees with the "C'ologno Gazette's" allegation that France is the danger zone. Tie Parisian newspapers, it adds, have not; been altogether blameless for the deterioration, of FrancoGerman Telatioifs. • v v The "Neueste Nachrichten" declares that'the "Cologne Gazette's" article, is only an echo from Chauvinistic France.
