NOT TO MAKE PROMISES. (By Telegraph—Press \sßoomtion.) Gisborne, March 12. An official welcome was accorded to tho Hon. W. Eraser, Minister for Public Works, this morning. Tho Minister stated that his visit was not to mako promises but to acquire information. Until tho Government had more funds at its disposal the people must bo reasonable with their requests.
