James Gordon, a,seaman on the Cape rinisterre, was admitted to the'hospitalabout 7 "o'clock last evening bleeding profusely as the result-.of what was thought to bo . a broken .blood-vessel. He died throo hours later. Death was • due : to natural causes—an aneurism. Deceased jras a-native of Glasgow. STRUCK BY'A MOTOR-CAR. Auckland, March 11. An adjourned inquest into the circum-' stanoes surrounding the death of Frank. M'Gaan, an old man who was killed by being struck by .a motor-car in Ivhyber Pass late on Saturday night, March 1, was continued before the coroner to-day. The jury returned a verdict to tho effect that' Frank "M'Gann met his death' by ''beinff struck, by'a ; motor-car., Th.ey considered all care had been taken to avoid an accident, and therefore .exonerated ' the driver of the car from (111 blame. :A rider' to the effect that moro ■lights should be placed in tho vicinity Jva.-j. added. i 'A young mannamed George Francis, 28 years; residing at Petone, met ■': -. . with' an accident yesterday, vwhich necessi-' tated his removal to the.Hospital.
