ONION GROWERS' COMBINE.

' PROTECTING} THE PRODUCER. A meeting of onion growers was held at ■Marshland, Canterbury, last week to consider .the advisableness of organising l so as to enable the producer to obtain fair market value for- his onions. At a later meeting the committee/reported that a well-known' firm in Christchurch was prepared to do the business and to send onions to other centres, also to give 'weekly reports concerning their prices.
