KARORI RESIDENT MISSING.
Since Thursday last, nothing has been heard of Mr. David Hcot, a well-known resident of lfarori. The police, who on Saturday had no definite particulars, state that tho missing man had left n nolo whioh indicated that he contemplated suicido. _ , ■ , Mr. Pccot has been living for some years with Mr. Foster, manager for Garrett and Co., butchers, lvarori. So far as is known, no cause can be assigned for the disappearance. Ho was in good circumstances, but fears are entertained iu consequence of the nole. Mr. l'ioot was About 40 years of age, and has relatives residing in Wellington. On Saturday, Constable M'Anerin, of ICarori, accompanied ly ono or two of the residents, dragged a pond in Wilton's Bush, and organised a thorough search through tho bush, Another poud in tho vicinity of'the cemetery was also dragged, but with no result. Yesterday another March party, organised by Mr. Foster, searched tho hills all round Knrori, but were unable to traco tho mibsiiig man. : \
