Madame Paquin, however, is more than a famous dressmaker. Kecent French exhibitions have owed very much to her enthusiastic co-operation. A woman of great wealth, she has subscribed large sums to many charitable institutions, particularly to the Society of Modern Education. Finally, she has done very much to improve the lot of shop assistants in Paris by the example she lias given in the treatment of her own girl employees. ALBANIAN SONG OF EXILE.
