■ SPEECH BY MR. FISHER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, Jtarch 7. The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher,/in a speech at Paparoa, said the experience of tho past year had proved the injustice of the cry that the Government would immediately reduce wages. Without doing this, the Government intended to increase the efficiency of the Public Services. He condemned the system by which any Government penalised a district which had dignity enough to think for itself and elect a representative opposed to the party in power.
