A first-class light should bo placed 011 the Big King, lie believes it would be most suitable on the south-west side of the island, at a height of about 300 ft. An automatic fog signal is atsd required. The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher states that negotiations have bclm opened with the Federal Government with 'a view to obtaining contributions towards the cost. Mr. Allpiirt states a light will soon bn required 011 tile North ('ape. A splendid site is available on an i.-kind just off tho cape, at a height, of 100 ft.
