At last night's meeting of the Wellington 'City Council . permission wis granted for utilisation of the match wickets nt tlio Basin Reserve until April 12, as requested b.v the Wellington Cricket Association. It was decided that the Wellington Cricket Association be granted permission to clutrgc for admission to the Basin Reserve on Holiday, -March 17, and also, to take up a collection at the gates on Tuesday, March 18, on (lie occasion of the Wangnnui niatcli on the usual conditions. Their request to charge for admission to the Basin Reserve on the playing Saturdays in llnrcli for (lie spmi-fimils and finals in the first-grade competitions was refused. A reduction from £2~ to JC2O this year in the rental of the dressing-rooms at Hi®, Basin Reserve has been granted to tho association, as they have been in occupation of three rooms only.
