HAWKE'S BAY SHOW.
(By TeleETaph.—Bpecial Correspondent.) Hastings, March i.The annual Autumn show. of. the Hawke's Bay A. and P. Association was opened to-day on tho; Hastipgs racecourse. The whole of the day was devoted to tho .arrangement of .exhibits, and.judging. Tonight the show will be open to the public, and, as electric lighting has. been arranged for, there'is likely to, be a, largo attendance. The fruit, as usual, makes quite a : remarkable display," but vegetables and roots havo suffered from the dry : weather. The show will be open to-morrow,'day and night.. It ia understood that, the Horowhenua Horticultural Society lias decided to adopt tho points .system in -judging its fruit ex- , hibits in'future. v Tile'points, system was -. 'inaugurated' at' the' 'Palmerston winter show two years ago, when the judging was - done by officers of the Orchards Division of the Department of Agriculture. .
