Williams) reports that the Kuahine left the Royal Albert Docks at 6 a.m. on Friday, January 17, being one day late owlns to the large quantity of cargo which had to be ehippod. Passengers were embarked at Tilbury, and . the vessel loft at 4.30 p.m. the Bame day. Plymouth was,reached at 5.30 p.m. the following day. After receiving passengers and mails, the vessel left at noon on January 19 for Ttjiietifl'e. Strong B.W. winds, increasing to hard southerly gale with very heavy sca-s, were experienced till passing Fiuistorre, thence moderate variable winds until arrival at thei island port at 1.30 p.m. on January 24.\ After replenishing bunkers; the voyage was resumed at 1 o'clock the next morning. Light trade winds and fine weather prevailed to Cape Town, whidh port was reached at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8. The voyage was continued at 2 p.m. the samo day. From the Cape of Good Hope a. fresh N.W. gale won encountered, lasting 24 hours, then moderate, variable winds to lat. 40deg., long. 29deg.*, when again a hard'N.W., afterwards changing to S.W., gale, with high seas, was encountered, lasting over 36 hours. These conditions continued until reaching the coast of Tasmania. The Northern Company's! steamer Rarawa is due at Wellington from Onehunga and New Plymouth early this morning. She will be taken up on the Patent Slip for cleaning and painting, and is expectod to sail on the return trip this ovening. Some inquiries ,liave beon made from a resident 'at Wliangakopo, Marlborough Sounds, asking the Marino Department if the launch Pilot had arrived at Wellington from Port Underwood. Tho launoh in question is now in Wellington harbour. Messrs.' Bannatyne and Co., local agents, havo been advised that tho Oceanic Steamship Co.'s R.M.R.
