TEPID SWIMMING BATHS.

Sir,—Most' of your readers : Trill, I am sure, cordially approve any step towards inducing tho City Council to provido tepid swimming baths in this.city. It is remarkable that 110 public complaints liavo been made of this great sanitary want, as when visitors see and discuss our hospitals, wharves, Town Hall, trams, destructor, etc., they are somewhat astonished at tho entire absence of tepid swimming baths. Two large baths (one salt and one fresh) at either end of tho •city would not be one day'ahead of n very great requirement', and a strictly supervised system of mixed bathing would very sooa popularise the establishments. Will some more vigorous pen take on the matter?—l am, otc., CLEANLINESS NEXT, ETC.
