' Tho Executive Committee of the Citi« xens J Enstcr Carnival' met last evening, the Mayor (Mr. D. M'Laren) presiding. Mr. 11. Seaton forwarded a cheque for ' £ U 10s. 6d., being 10 per cent, of tlio second week s takings, making a total of Bs. 3d. A,vote of thnnks to the donor was recorded. The secretary reported that ho had arranged- to interview tho Priino Minister in connection with' tho visit of the battle- ' ship Now Zealand: Tho secretary is to ondeavour to get the warship at Welling, ton during Eastor week. Mr. E. Fletcher was 1 elected to the com-' mittce. . A small 6ub-committeo LJ consisting of tin Mayor and Messrs. C. G. Wilson, ,C. 11. ' Smith, A. A.'Marryatt, and R, A. Keenan, was appointed to arrange, a fireworks display on Easter Saturday and Monday. They were authorised to spend up to xioo. ( " 1 :' ; The Sports' Committee was authorised' to offer ijrj'y.es for a Marathon race in connection with the sports programme. ■ It was decided to do away with the' wood-chopping item. The following'were appointed hrliitr'ators in oonnection with any .disputes, overany of tlio events or competitions: The Mayor and Messrs. Marryatt and C. Q. Wilson. ' ■ The secretary was instructed to procuro about a dozen blocks of. tho beauty spots of Wellington, for publication in. the programme. At a meeting of Section C Comniitloo it was decided to send a deputation to tlio' stewards of the Wellington liacing Club, with a view to obtaining tlio Trcnthaia racecourse for a motor-cyclo race meeting. ;
