1 address by am. fisher. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) Auckland, March 8. A brief address was Riven by the Hon. F M. B. Fisher (o the members of the Reform Club at the lunch hour to-day. Mr. Fishor said some people thoughtthat no sooner would the Mass-ey party be in power than miracles would happen, that reforms would bo all passed at once, and that chances would immediately take plnoe. That,, ho (lid not n6cd to remind them, was a mistaken idea altogether, for no party in the world was able to carry out changos, no matter how necessary they were, all at once. Tho party had put through some of its reforms last session, but if it had ' not dono everything its supporters must not be in too much haste to review progress made as not being fast enough. . ' Speaking of trade relations Mr.. Fishor said the bonds of Empire might exist to o very real extent, but in his opinion tho best \\'ay to foster Imperialism, was by n. complete interchange of commodities between the component parts of the Empire. (Applause.) . Mr. Fisher then -went on to refer to his coming visit to Australia wliero he would meet representatives from Canada and Australia', and ho hoped tho result of his conference with other trado Ministers would result in'a notable increase in trade between the three countries. "Thero are immense possibilities for this country in the matter of. trado," said Mr. Fishor. "One has only to mention the trial shipments of frozen mutton which the Prime Minister is sending on to tho European mnrket, Thero are many other channels which can bo opened up and reciprocal trade with other parts of tho world will do more than anything to ,bring our own country on, make it progress at a rapid rate, and mnlce it known as a country of resource and wealth."
