BRITISH CRUISER'S 40,000 MILE TOUR.
NINE MONTHS' VOYAGE OF THE NSW ZEALAND.
A record cruiso of 40,000 miles Is to bo undertaken by the new battle-cruiser New Zealand, which is now at or Dear Capo Town.
The New Zealand was thp first Dominion ship to be presented to the Imperial Nary, and, whilo the primary object of tho cruiso is to enable tho people of Now' Zealand to inspect tlieir gift, the opportunity will be taken of calling at many ports afc which the power of tho British fleet is rarely displayed. On tho outward voyage (according to the programme arranged before the vessel left England) a five-days' visit will be paid to Simoh's Bay. Then, after steaming over 6000 miles of the Pacifio, a stay of three days will bo made at Hobart, Tasmania.
Thenco a 1200 miles run will bring tho cruiser to I/vttelton, Thre« months will bo spent in New Zealand waters, and tlio principal ports will receive visits . The'homeward cruise will take in:— Fiji, / Valparaiso, Honolulu, ' Monte Video. Vancouver,^' Hio de Janeiro, Panama, Trinidad, Callao, Barbados/-,' and numerous other West Indian Sports, winding up at Bermuda on October 6,
