HEREFORD STOCK FOR N.Z,
| A BULL AND lIEI.FER. I According to the "Live .Stock Journal" | of January 3, Mr. J. H. Price, Abercray Farm, Trecastle, Breeonshire, has just exported to New Zealand a yearling Ilerelord bull, Barometer, and a two-yeai-old Hereford heifer, Happy Hilda, which realised, a total of £235. Barometer was first and champion at, Hereford March bull sale. Happy Hilda has won a number of first prizes, including first at Newin 1911 in a biff class of yearlings, boating all the leading winners of her age. She • has also enrried off three championships at Brecon and Deynnock. The "penny wise and pound foolish" farmer contents himself with going on the old, old way, indifferent to the signs of progress around him. But tho farmer who is to make money takes advantage of every labour-saving dovico that comes within his reach. For instance, tho progressive New Zealand fanner knows that he-can save many pounds annually by installing a Milking Machine and' driving it with an "Anderson" Oil Engine. Experience shows that these engines are in every respect tho most economical for the farmer, for they pay for .themselves in a very short time. Further, tho "Anderson" is reliable under all working conditions—a most important point where regularity is essential. Learn some further particulars by writing to Andersons, Ltd., Christchurch.—Advfc.
