At tho Supremo Court, to-day a caso of an unusual nature was heard, when D A Fraser sued Osmond Disloy and his wifo (all of Halcombe) for .£507 damages for slander and malicious prosecution, Tho case was tho result of n recent private prosecution in the Magistrate's Court, when Fraser was charged with having assaulted Mrs. Disley, tho affair being alleged to have taken plitco in a bakehouse. The caso was then dismissed. The jury to-day awarded XIGO damages.
