At a committee meeting of the HoroWlienua Horticultural Society.! various judges were appointed to act at the'show to-be held on March 12 and 13. Tlio i-e----signation of Mr. W, Knight as'a.nieipber of tho. committco was accepted with' regret. It was decided to invito a member' of the Ministry to perform tho opening ceremony. Firing for Mr, Smith's' trophy caused much interest and some excitomcnt among members of tho Whareroa Rifle Club, tho prize eventually being won- by C. Ddwsett with a score of 190. ' D. D. Hydo was next with 182. Mr. nnd Mrs. Millard, of To Horo, havo decided to tako up rosid/e'neo nt Wninui-o-mnta. The Rev. Mr. Spiers, who has been in chargo of the Methodist Church here, leaves shortly for Auckland.
