THE RECENT AMALGAMATION.
"WIDESPREAD DISSATISFACTION." (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . Auckland, February 25. Tho recent amalgamation of the United Labour party, lie-aded by Professor Mills, with tho Now Zealamf Federation of Labour does not meet with' the Approval of tho Auckland branch of the old New Zenland Labour parly, and at a meeting held last evening tho- following recommendations from the executive were adopted:— (1) That as tho now constituted United Labour party is now syndicalist and revolutionary in its general tread of policy, and,; as publicly announced, has decided to join tlie : syndicalist Federation of Labour. (2) The recommendation previously submitted ro .this branch stepping into tho breach and 1 reorganising tho New Zealand Labour party is again brought forward, and correspondence from Wanganui, Christchuriih, Napier, and elsewhere leads this executive to believe 'that dissatisfaction with -the United Labour party is widespread, and that the time is fully ripe to re-establish the New Zealand Labour party. (3) .That the United Labour party is now openly; opposing the systematic train- . ing of citizens of New Zealand in tho art of defence.: Tho work of organising the new party is fn proceed-immediately, it being decided ; that the, newly-elected local, committee should be constituted a national committee, and tho services of Mr. Walsh secured as organiser for an immediate campaign. It was also decided to open 411 future ■ meetings to tho press.
