A novel idea to increase public interest in poetry has been hit on by Jfr. Harold Monro, editor cf a monthly review, "Foetrv aiul Drama." lie has opened a "Poetry Shop" in. Devonshire Street, Theobalds Road, London, where everybody's poetry, popular and unpopular, ' wall" be on sale. Besides tjio shop and his editorial office, this old-fashioned roomv houso is to provido lodgings for pcets' who wish for inexpensive town quarters. So some of the work sold in tho shop may bo "done on the premises;" Yesterday's cablo 'messages stated that Mr. B. A. Meyer, a theatrical manager, had secured a dissolution of marriage from his wife. Mr. Meyer is fairly wellknown in New Zealand, and familiarly known in theatrical circles in London,' He was assistant with 'Mt'.i Charles Frohniann at one time and wits manager at the Avenue Theatre, London;' and the Shaftsbury Theatro in IOOSi'/'Of, late yenrs lie has been business inamieor for Mr. Oscar Asclio and was in Wellington in that capacity with tho company last year.
