. <hTHE MARQUIS OF SLIGO. By Megraph—Preae Asßooiatlon—Gopyritrht London, February 24. The Marquia of Sligo is dead, Henry Ulick Browne, fifth Marquis of Sligo, was born in March,-1831, nnd educated at Rugby and Haileybury. He served in tho Bengal Civil Service from Jpl to 1888. Tho heir to the estate is the lato Marquis's son, tho Earl of Altamont. The Marquis owned 114,000 acres, A SOUTH AFRICAN CRICKETER. Cope Town, February 24. The death is announced of J. H; Sinclair, the well-known: South 'African cricketer. J. C. HOYTE: .SCENIC ARTIST. Sydney, February 25. Mr. John Clarke Hoyte, the well-known scenic artist, is dead. Ho was formerly on tho staff of the Grammar School, Auckland, whence ho came to Sydney about 1877.
