THE "TRIUMPH"' STILL ON TOP. . Tho Christchurch-ICaikoura-and-back record still stands to tho credit of Mr. G. B. Brown and liis full roadster "Tril umph," and tho new record mndo-last Thursday has beon-buried almost as soun ( as it was bom under tho crushing weight of two hours nnd hventy-ono minutes, Tho principal features of Mr. Ci. B. Brown's great ri<lo oil Saturday have boen given full publicity. On Bth February he rodo alone. Some capital wns made out of the fact that on a previous occasion ho was accompanied by another rider, nnd, though 'tho precedent tliUB set has boon followed in the subsequent attempts upon the record by rjders or machines other than tho "Trfumph," Mr. Brown dccided to demonstrate his faith in "Triumph" reliability by riding alone. Ho rodo tho same full roadster threespeed "Triumph" as ho rodo when ho established the record on January 17. The only difference in tho conditions was that ho knew the road. It-must be remembered that this Christchurch-Kaikonra ride wns 'suggested by "Triumph" coinneiitors presumably as a course on which theii machines had a better ehanco against tho "Triumph" than any other. Tho course evidently does suit their machine—when their machine is going well—but it quite as evidently suits the "Triumph." just as well, and a great deal better. So the result of this little sporting controversy has be»n to establish tlio "Triumph" as Die best "cross-country" motor-cycle, as well as the best snoed machine, tho best machine for' reliability, and the best for hill-climbing. The latest "Triumphs", are now to hand; prices: fixed engine, ,£7O; free engine. .ISO; three-speed, JXi IDs. Adams, Limited., ' Clinstchurch. Branches, Wanganui, Faimerstou North. Agent), Sutherland and Rnnkiue, Welling, ton, and Tourist Motor Co., Hastiiigs.— Advt. '
