Tlio mooting was, largely attended.; Mr. Hori Hall acted as interpreter. The organiser briefly explained tho objects of, ilio Reform Lsngue, and after several questions had been hslted and answered it was decided to form a branch of tho New Zenland Political Reform .League »t Whakarcwavowa. . Tho several' Native speakers expressed approval of tho decision',ijrrived' at, and confidence in Mr. Massey and his colleagues, pointing out that tliey believed Mr. Massey would act fairly to tlio Native race and in .the • bust interests of the whole of tho people of, the Dominion. Thc. old Government,'l;hey said, had not done so/ and they had, no fftilh in them, so they wens ■ present'&' organise and help the Massey _ Government retain power.
