IN QUARANTINE.
STOCK'AT'SOMES ISLAND. •■■ The stock quarantine quarters on Somes Island have been kept well filled of late with imports from overseas. Only last week the list-of the big shipment of Hplsteins from America for the Government and Messrs. Troup and Moore were removed to 1 their'permanent quarters, and the followincr stock is left on the island,at present:—Nine Romney Marsh rams for Mr. J. Telford, of Clinton; 2 Romney Marsh rams for Mr. J. It. M'Kenzie, of Clinton; 1 Romney Marsh ram for Mr. A. M'Kay. of Clinton;. 1 Hereford bull calf for Mr.'A. C. Levett, of Feildin»: 1 Hereford bull calf for Mr. D. M'Fnrlane, of Canterbury; 2 Hereford bull calves' .for ; Mr. A. \ Moore,, of Kai--Iwi. 5 yenrling Ayrshire bulls presented by Mr. T. Clement to North Island'dairy companies; '2 Jersey bulls and 3 Jersey heifers for Mr. J'. R. Corrigan, of'Hawera; 1 two-tooth Southdown ram and 4 fourtooth'Soutyown ewes for Messrs. Ellis Bros., of Bulls, and a Southdown ram ami 5 Southdown ewea for Mr. J. Balsillie, of Palmerston North.
