V CARNIVAL AT BATHS TO-DAY. Tho To Aro Baths havo presented on animated scene for tho past few days, swimmers, being present, especially in tho ovenihgs, whon' the baths'aro at times uncomfortably filled. Tho recent spell of warm weather has enabled the swimming fraternity to get in good training for the Wellington Amateur Swimming Club's carnival, whifch takes place this afternoon; Among 1 tho many events on tho programmo is the 220 yards' provincial championship, and also the public soliools' championship for tho Dnthio Cup. Wei son, the Auokland crack, is competing li some of the events, and this fact should provo a draw. A number of genuine novelty evonts iß'promisßd( by the committee, which anticipate! a successful carnival. '
