« — .. A meeting of the Roseneath Ratepayers' Association was held last evening, Mr. T. W. Ward presiding. Sotao discussion took placo on the question of extending tho proposed parade- at Oriental Bay to the tram terminus from tho present ending, which is nt the last .stopping place before the terminus, Members of the association expressed tho opinion that Oriental Bay at present was. an "eye-sore." They considered that tho parade ought to bo extended right to tho Tea Kiosk. After some discussion, it | was decided to hold tho matter over until next meeting, when further steps nro to be taken in tho meeting. It was decided to make application to the City Council forthr,eo lights on Grafton Road, the main road leading- from Hataitai to Roseneath. It was considered desirable that these lights should be erected beforo the winter. Tho association decided to support thoWellington citizen's Easter carnival. ■ It was announced that the unfurling of tho Scotch flag received from Roseneath in Scotland -would be performed by his Excellency, Lord I,ivernool, on Saturday afternoon next, at 3.80 o'clock.
