TIMARU HIGH SCHOOL.
. (By Telograpli.-Press Association.) Timaru, February 17. The Boys' High School opened in tho now building with, a considerable increase in numbers—94, of whom 27 are boarders at tho rectory,- and the accommodation • provided is now occupied. Owing to the increased roll, tho board to-day appointed a fourth assistant (Mr. E. A. Cockroft, of Invercargill). It is intended to specialise in agriculture. Mr. J. Tait, the first assistant, takes that branch. Mr. Mnssoy has accepted an invitation to formally opon the new 6chool ,early next month. Tho Girls' School reopons with 61, about the samo number as last term. Tho board congratulated the staff of this school on its success at tho University examinations.
