: THE MISSIONS TO SEAMEN. Tho arrival from England yesterday of Mr. James Moore, formerly of'the Mis-! sfDiis to Seamen, Wellington, 'somewhat complicates matters in! connectiou with that institution. Mr. James Mcore on , ' arrival informed t> Dominion representative that'it was his intention to resume, his work in' Wellington with the Missions ' to Seamen, which was the first intimation \ of' tho kind made for publication. On making inquiry as to whether tho pro. sent missioner (Mr. Cox) was ■< leavine Wellington, it transpired that tho local , committee had no knowledge of a change, (hat tho members were quite satisfied with the work that Mr. fox was' doing, and certainly bad no intention of making* - any change at present.. Further information could not be gleaned from official i-ourees, but other inquiries' elicited the information that sonic time ago.a- petition, signed by some 300 nnjnes, bad been sent Home to. Mr. Mooro asking him to return to Wellington and resume his work in connection with tho Missions to Soa- , men, and upon that, ami possibly; other representations, Mr.' Moore has returned.
