A committee consisting of Captains Glenny, M'Aneny, Socwra,. Beveridge, llcan.Rolston, Nuttall, Lieut. Jones, and Fireman Williams, was set up to go into tho question of establishing a benevolent fund in connection with' tho association. A number of remits were carried bearing on comuctition conditions. In the rowing match between Gisborne and Wanganui Fire Brigade Fours, Gisborne won after an exciting race by ncarly threo lengths. To-night the. firemen formed a torchlight procession, and, with two bands and decorated engines mid reels, paraded the streets. There was an immense orowd, and tram traffic was stopped for an hour. The conference resumes to-morrow.
