INSPECTORS' CONFERENCE.

The triennial conferenco of school inspectors, principals of : training colleges, and officers of the Education Department, wascontinuod yesterday. The forenoon session of the conference was concerned with further discussion, in committee, of the education syllabus. In the afternoon, for part of tho sitting, the conference discussed with the Inspec-tor-General . (Mr. Geo. Hogbcn) and tho medical officers appointed some time ago to inaugurate a system of medical inspection in the State schools, certain points relating to the administration of the regulations. The proceedings were of a semiprivate nature, and largely concerned with technical questions. The conferenco subsequently resumed its consideration, in committee, of the public school syllabus. The sittings will be resumed this morning at 9 a.m.
