Montgomery (Secretary for Customs), by tho Maungauui, from the Bluff on March 2i, and will proceed to Melbourne, there to enter into a discussion 0)1 tho projected reciprocal agreement between Australia' and . New 1 Zealand with the Prime Minister bf the Commonwealth (tho Hon. A. Fisher)., , Subsequently tho Hon. G. E. ' Foster (Canadian Minister for Trade and Customs), who is a member; of tho Imperial Trade Commission, will bo in Australia, and a,conference of Trade Ministers,.representing : tho overseas Dominions, wilj bo hold at a date yet to bo fixed, , Tho Hon. F> M. B. Fishor has received a communication from South Africa, saying that tho Unionist Government regrets exceedingly that owing to tho political situation in South Africa it will bo unablo to bo represented. The South African. Government, however, expresses a hope that tho conference will result in tho establishment of better trade, relations between tho; overseas Dominions.
