An exceptionally large cargo of coal, particularly for a sailing vessel to lift, whs dispatched from Newcastle last week for Tal Tal, on tho West Coast of South America. The vessel to take the shipment was the four-masted barque Balasore, and it amounted to 4190 tons. The barque was loaded by the Australian Agricultural Com. pany, and is the second vessel \o leave Newcastle for Tal Tal last week, the previous onct being the barque Amulree. loaded bv the Scottish-Australian Mining Company', dispatched on February 4. The Government cable steamer Tutanekal returned to Wellington from Ship Cove, via Picton, at 8 p.m. yesterday. Her work in connection with cable-repairing round the New Zealand coast liaving been completed, the vessel will go out of commission during the present month.
