Hugard, the clever illusionist and conjuror, appeared tit tho Opera House last night with' his clever : sleight-of-hand tricks and illusions. He was-ably assisted by Ching. Turner,.craclc'shot'riflemon of the Suburbs Riflo Club, has- challenged Mr. Hugard to let him . bring his' own riflo and cartridge, havo his .name engraved on the bullet and. shell, load the weapon himself, and fire at Hugnrd*s, heart. Mr. Hugard has accepted tho challenge, his only condition being that tho rifle must be loaded on the stage in full view-'of the audience; and that Mr. Turner must guarantee that both the. rifle and cartridge have not been tampered with, savo for the. cartridge beinfe engraved. Mr. Turner has consented that tho rifle and cartridge shall be displayed in the Singer Sewing Machine Company's window.dnrini the day. Mr. J). Kaiikin and Mr. H.
