You cun't have them all atoncc, they have to come from England, but they are coming. I am.very glad to think that tho Wellington Cadets arolo have, rifles,, becauso from'what I have seen'to-night;of their drill and discipline I think they are well prepared, to have rifles, and to uphold the credit of tho Wellington district and Wellington cadets by bearing arms. You must remember that you are nil doing' your bit for your country, nnd that it is worth doing. You may say that this has been said over and over again, but I am quite sure you all realise it, and if you do so and worlc well, I am perfectly certain the day will come when you will feel yourselves well rewarded. I wish you all the best of luck in the future." General Godley then presonted tho YM.C.A. corps the cup which they won at the' Chrislchurch' military tournament. He also presented Major Parkes, instructor of the cadets, who went to Canada, with a gold-mounted walkingcane. ■
