SH PMENTS OF AYRESHIRE BULLS.
THE CLEMENT PRESENTATIONS. . Information to hand from tho Old Country covers particulars of the breeding of the five yearling - Ayrshire bulls which .have, been presented to the suppliers of various North Island dairy companies by •Mr. T. Clement, of Netherton, NewtonMearns, near Glasgow. Tho names and pedigrees of the animals are:— (1)-Notherton-Maovicar (9530), by Netherton Midland; dam, Netherton Queen Victoria, whose record last year was 1058 gallons of 4.28 per cent butter-fat, while this year her record will be oyer 1000 gallons of 4.3 per cent. Tho.record of,this cow's dani nt two years rind a half old was 874 gallons of 4.2 per cent butterfat: v ' : ;.-. , ; :
(2) Notherton MacNeilage (9534), sira Notherton Midland; dam; Glassock Nellie 11, which gavo 955 gallons of 3.54 per cent butter-fat. Old Nellie,' her. dam, gained tho'first prize at the I'enwick Show with a'record of 1200 gallons of 3,92 per cent butter-fat. She is still fresh and doing well, and is regarded as one-of thoibest cows in the Netherton herd, if 'not in Scotland.' - "> '••'"■■'" ,-.(3) -Netherton-Good'.Rule (9532), sire, Auchenbrain Good Gift; dam, Red Rose, half-sister of; King Arthur. As a three-year-old 'she gave 903 gallons of 3.38 per cent butter-fat. She is a cow with a great frame, and tho b'sst of- teats. The record of. her dam was 920 gallons of 3.5 per cent butter-fat in 39 weeks.
(4) Notherton! Mactaggnrt ,(9535), sire Netherton Midland; dam, Wyllieland Tina IVVwhich'.gave 004 gallons of 3.6 per cent button-fat; iii her first lactation. v Unfortunately since then she has,lost a quarter, bnt. last year,, notwithstanding this disadvantage,-she gave the splendid yield o'f'979 gallons. ~.•'."'•: .
■(5) Netherton King Jerry (9533), sire Kinpt- Arthur;- dam, Culcraigie Janette, a .great lnilkeT. In .1910. she. gave 992 gallons of, 3.62 -per cent butter-fat,' and in 'Mil her yield was; 1262 gallons, while this .vear-in '40 ;weeks she has given 1115 gallons, and .at the time the mail left she was still-.yielding' 241b.. per day. -According.;to 'the "Live Stock Journal" (London), dated December 27, Mr. Miller.TTallctt has. recently sold for shipment to New Zealand, from his well-known-Jer-sey herd, a very choice bull calf by Golden Chance's Noble: first prize at the London Dairy Show this year, out of Golden.Plaisanterie,',,winper.of a large number of prizes. A well-bred two-year-old ,heifer, whose grand-dam took second ririze ', oy s two years Tunning, accompanies him'.
