Ship Cove,-Queen Charlotte Sound, will bo en fete to-day. ' The occasion is the unveilihg of the Captain Cook - - MemotiaH. The ceremony 'will be' performed ;by his Excellency the Governor, ■ .tho Earl .of Liverpool, at 12.30, p.m. , ' , 1 ' Shortly before, noon yesterday the Government steamer 1 Tutanekai left Wellington', with the vice-regal party on board, for -tlio: Marlfcorough'-'Sounds.The vessel wiU'ciir 'at VdHoilS vicinity, and will reaoh Ship Covo'in, ample time to enable his . Excellency to perform' .the. interesting ceremony.' i Subsequently, the Tutanekoi visits Picton; and'eh? will return t<u Wellington, -to-morrow morning. In addition to numerous launches, the Wellington ferry steamer Ducliejs will leave Picton with.excursionists for Ship Cove this morning. ! This vessel will return to Picton after the ceremony, before coming on to' Wellington. .The Duchess left port'for Picton at midnight. The Union Company's steamer Mararoa leaves Wellington' at 8 a.m. to-day -for Ship Cove. 1 It-is anticipated that sho will arrive at the bnv in ainplo time for excursionists ,to view the ceremony..' The Mararoa will lcavo on the return trip , for Wellington at 3 p.m., and should make port at .about 7 p.m, :
