Ihe February meeting of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club was held at Addington to-day. Tho weather was fine, and there-was a very fair attendance of tho public. Thero was little change going along .the back and with-a lap to go Maelstrom was still in front, with' Betel Nut next, Dayspring, and Lodi next on torms, Princess' Louiso and Littlo Tib following. In tho field closed up in the back stretch, but Maelstrom held her .advantage as they rounded the turn into the straight. In tho run home, however, Betel ,Nut woro her down and won a fine race by a head.. Dayspring was two lengths away, followed by Gianella, Princess Louise, Lodi, and Little Tib. Time, 4min. 45 4-sseo.
