An • inquiry concerning tho death of James Hnnratty, who vras crushed to death on Messrs. E. W. Mills and Co.'s (roods lift, was held before Dr. M'Arthur, District Coroner, at tho Magistrate's Cuurt on Saturday. A verdict of death from accident was returned. Tho Coroner was of opinion that, as far as it was posstblo to judge, no one was to blame. A lad, named Roy Keegnn, 15' years of age, and n. resident of 2* Stokes Street, was admitted to tho Ilospital at fl o'clock last night suffering from n broken arm. Ho sustained the injury as tho result of a fall from a bicvclc. , Whilst "Tim" Tracy, the well-known boxer, was riding from 'Wellington to Hntt on liis motor-cycle (with a side-car attached) he mot with rut accident when opjiositc the Grand National Hotel at Potone, Mr. Tracy was driving tho motor, and in tho side-car was his little daughter, and a friend, named George C. Gordon. Tho side-car came adrift, mid threw its occupants on to' the road. Tho little girl received several cuts on tho fnco and hands, nnd Gordon was cut about tho head. Mr. Tracy was not injured.
