At the Foilding show this week, Mr. , Lancaster won outright tho cud Presented by Mesas. W. Roid and So.? for tho oxhibitor securing most points in all slieop classes. Mr. I<ancaster has won tins cup twico in succession, and, according to tho conditions, it now becomes his proporty. flic association is not to bo eft without a trophy for this section of tho show, however, as Mr. Lancaster has offered n ten-guinea cup with tho ripio conditions as thoso obtaining for the Roid Cup, for future competition. . ■I ho monthly meeting of tho Oroua County Council was held yesterday. Inter aim, Mr. \\. Woolf, contractor, wroto stating that owing to the scarcity of hardwood timber, and the difficulty of getting it from Australia, ho was unable to fix tho date when he would mako o start with Mwuioa' Ford bridgo'.
