m rr x, „Westport, February 7. Tho Hon. F M. B. Fisher arrived from Eccfton on Wednesday at noon, and received a deputation.. He delivered a political address, on. Wednesday night. Tho meeting was drailar to a candidate's during a contested election, there being a good. deal of good-humoured interjection and numerous retorts by. tho Minister. Mr. Colvin, M.P., and the Minister had several arguments. Mhile in Itaramea ho. received, a number of deputations,' inspected tho harbour, and delivered a public address, receiving a hearty vote of thanks, and an expression of confidence in the Govern, meut.
On his return to Scddonville to-night, the Minister delivered another public address, and at-the conclusion, on tlio mo- , Mr. j; Cumniings (president oftho 1 Seddonvilfo Minors' Union), who had been very persistent In asking the Minister questions, ho was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
