Bicycles are comparatively rare in Auckland, and thefts of tlio machines aro •correspondingly rare (says the "Herald.") .Telegraph messengers have lost four cycles during the last few days, and the police have the matter in hand. Two of the bicycles were Government property, and two belonged to the messengers themselves. Two disappeared on Friday, one on Saturday, and one on Tuesday mornins;.
