INVITATION TO. AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrinlit (Ecc. February 5, 10.40 p.nii) Melbourne, February 5. Mr. King O'Malley, Minister for Home Affairs, has received a letter from Mr. Roosevelt, stating that nothing would giro him greater pleasure than to visit Australia. He cannot imagine any American, seriously interested in the affairs of his country and the -world who would not feel himself fortunate in having a chance to visit their great Commonwealth; Personally ho had a very great admiration for tho Australian people. ; , A resident in Sydney, ivhilo in America, negotiated with Mr. Roosevelt for a lecturing tour in Australia. After consideration, Mr. Roosevelt replied that the time required was an insuperable obstacle."
