At a largely-attended meeting of tho General Labourers' Union to-night tho following motion was unanimously agreed to;—" That this union views with,disgust tho prosecuting of boys two or three frmes for one offence, tho taking away of their civil rigjhts, and the garnisheeing of their wages, and urges upon tho citizens to do all in their power to lessen tho hirth-rate until the Defence Act isjepcalcd.",
