BILL. •' '• By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrieht Washington, February 2. i'armcrs are protesting against the Democratic Freo List Bill on tho ground that tho inclusion;of cereals, meats/and other foodstuffs will give tho Canadians more advantages than tho defunct Reciprocity Bill. Dr. Woo3row Wilson,' President-Elect, states that he intends to insist on tho, passage of tho Bill. Mr. Underwood, Democratic leader in tho House, pointed out tho Free List Measure was defeated last session in Congress. Dr., Wilson says that the Democrats in Congress will break faith, with the people if They do not take steps to reduce tho cost of living. Canadian press comment indicates that Canada will gain as many advantages under the Free List Bill as if the Reciprocity Bill had been passed, whilst giving nothing in return.
