By Telesrrj.ph—Press Association-Goiiyrtent l' Melbourne, February 4 Albert lOewis, driver of the motor-car which rati: dotal" a party of pedestrians at Aspendnld; killing one, Mrs. Donald, and injuring 'Mr. Roy Parkinson, lias been arrested on a cliargo of manslaughter. Lowis says that when ho saw tho light which Parkiason was carrying ho tried to avoid the pedestrians by pulling to tho left hand, but when he swerved the car dashed iilto them. Ho had thought tho light was attached to a cart, and mado allbwanco for tho vchiclo to pass. When the occupants of tho car recovered from the first shook they endeavoured to help tho injured.
