Beat the butter and .sugar to a cream; separate the white? from the yolks of tho eggs;'halve the passion fruit, taking the hard, pithy, part away; add the yolks of the eggs to'the creamed butter and sugar, then tho milk gradually, half the flour and baking powder already rifted, then tho passion fruit and lemon juice, then tho remainder of the flour, and lastly the stitfly-beaten whites, 'stirring them in as lightly as possible; pour the. mixture, into a wellgreased mould, cover with' greased paper, and steam 1J hours.
