TWOPENCE TO AUSTRALIA. MR, FRAZER'S VIEW. By Telegraph—Prcaa Association-Copyright Melbourno, February 3. ; The Postmaster-General, Mr. C, E. Frazer, has returned from New Zealand. The most important scheme discussed with the New Zealand Postmaster-General, lie said, related to wireless telegraphy.' Mr. Frazer considers that it ought to bo. possible to transmit messages between Australia and Ney Zealand .by wireless for twopence per word—tho; present rate being 4}d. Definite proposals were made to Mr. Rhodes regarding"' communication with other parts of the wprldl The proposals included ;cheaperiing the .rates for postal note 9. No arrangement, however, was rb'aohed.

STATEMENT BY MR. RHODES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, February 3. The remarks of the Hon. C. E. Frasor, Commonwealth Postmaster-General, as. contained in a cable message from "clbourno to-day, were brought under the notice 'of the Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes, Postmaster-General of New Zealand. Mr. Rhodes said that the reference in the cable message to the cheapening of rates on postal notes was an error. The matter discussed between the two PostniastersGeneralwas the question of interchange of postal notes between tho Commonwealth and the Dominion, or the acceptance, by the Commonwealth Of British postal notes issued in New Zealand. At present sums of money cannot be sent from the Cominion to Australia by means of postal ■notes, and the proposals above referred to were discussed. Mr. Rhodes added that Mr. Frasor and himself were negoti&TTng with regard to' the introduction, of wireless telegraphy between Australia and New Zealand, but if was questionable whether wireless i could, be used for 1 commercial purposes.J-The matter is etill under consideration, and some arrangement might be arrived at. ,
